Persons who live, work, workship, or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in the City of Niagara Falls, New York, a local community that meets the underserved are defination of 109 (c)(2) of the Federal Credit Union Act;
Members of record of the Cataract City Federal Credit Union #00092 as od June 25, 2013 (App. Voluntary Merger - August 16, 2013) and, also included are spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union, employees of this credit union, persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employement, members of their immediate family or household, and organizations of such persons.
VERIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY. The Credit Union will verify the eligibility of prospective members seeking membership with the Credit Union.
Occupation-Based (Select Employee Group) Eligibility. Employees, retirees (the SEG(s)) volunteers, and their immediate family members and spouses of persons who died while in the field of membership, as well as organizations of such persons, are eligible for membership with the Credit Union. The Credit Union will review proof of employment to determine whether the prospective member meets the occupation-based membership eligibility.
Community-Based Eligibility. People (including businesses) who live, work, worship or attend school in the community, as well as their immediate family members and spouses of persons who died while in the field of membership are eligible for membership with the Credit Union. The Credit Union will review proof of address to determine whether the prospective member meets the community-based membership eligibility.
ONCE A MEMBER, ALWAYS A MEMBER.
Once a person becomes a member of the Credit Union, such a person may remain a member of the Credit Union until the person chooses to withdraw or is expelled from the membership of the Credit Union.
